Sommerset Dam Camping Weekend
14-16 June
When the temperature drops and the light tackle season winds down, we like to pack up and ship out to Sommerset Dam! Spend the long weekend with us and enjoy a Kids Bass Fishing Competition, an unofficial challenge to see who can catch and cook the best red claw, warm fires, refreshing drinks and plenty of friendly banter. General Meeting

Stay up-to-date with everything that is going on around the club at our bi-monthly General Meeting. In June, the General Meeting will be helpd out at Sommerset Dam (because most of us will be out there anyway!). Have your say, get involved and give back to the club so we can continue to host our amazing social events.
Reminder: Membership renewals are due on July 1. You must be a financial member in order to accrue points for tagged and captured fish.

AGM & Presentation Gala Evening
31 August
It’s the night of nights for Mooloolaba Game Fishing Club. Join us for our Annual General Meeting and Gala Presentation Dinner. Hear about next season’s plans for MGFC before delighting in dinner and drinks as your fishing efforts for the year finally pay off. The Club will announce the winners of our Annual Pereputal Trophies and you can see who will be crowned champion angler for the year.

Billfish Bonanza Tournament
22-24 November
This tag and release tournament allows for light and heavy tackle fishing with a number of great trophies and prizes up for grabs. The Game Fishing season is just heating up in November and a lot of lively Blue Marlin are cruising through our waters. You can also find mature and baby Black Marlin feeding off schools of bait along with the occasional Sailfish and big Mahi Mahi.

The Mooloolaba Game Fishing Club Christmas Party is fun for the whole family! Whether we are chasing giant Barra at the Barra Park or cooking up a sausage sizzle in the shade of the trees, we can usually expect a visit from the big man in the red suit!

Billfish Babes Tournament
7-9 February
The Billfish Babes is a one day game fishing shootout for ladies only! This tournament was first held in 2014 and was sanctioned the following year. Billfish Babes was designed to get ladies out on the water, make new friends, have loads of fun, and maybe even catch a fish or two!
